Try Before You Buy - Purchase and Registration

You can download, install and try Mediata Survey in your computer and webserver before you buy. This free trial is full featured so it can be tested fully. However, until the application is purchased and unlocked with a serial number, there is a limit of 10 survey responses in the results and analysis of the survey. This is enough for you to test the application and determine if it works for you.

To purchase Mediata Survey, please visit our website: http://www.bebosoft.com and click on the store link. You will be offered two payments options: standard credit card processing through eSellerate and PayPal.

Mediata Survey costs US$ 99 and includes 1 full year of upgrades after the day of your purchase. After that you can continue to use the latest version of Mediata Survey published during that period, but if you want access to new versions you'll need to buy a 1 year update, always at a lower price than the full license.

After you purchase the software you'll receive an email with a serial number that must be used to unlock the software.

To register the software, on Mac OS X select the menu Mediata Survey->Register..., on Microsoft Windows select the menu Help->Register... and type the Serial Name and Serial Number exactly as it appears in your invoice. The registration is case sensitive so you must type both values in the same case as in the email.

Please save your Serial Name and Serial Number. It might be required in future upgrades.

Known Limitations

Opening Mediata Survey files in a network volume: You can store your survey file in a network volume and access it from Mediata Survey, however it is not recommended that more than 1 copy of Mediata Survey access the survey file at the same time, in case many users want to review the results, because the survey file can become corrupted.

In this case is better to duplicate the survey file for each copy of Mediata Survey and they can connect to the webserver to retrieve survey results.

64 column limitation in analysis tables: Many interfaces of Mediata Survey display results in a multicolumn table, and these tables are limited to 64 columns. If you have a big matrix question, or you are performing a cross tabulation analysis between 2 questions, the first 64 columns will be displayed. You will need to export the results and analyze with another software like a spreadsheet.

Important Terms

Frequently in this guide and when using the application, we refer to some terms explained here.

Pages: Mediata Survey creates multi-page surveys, which means that questions of the survey can be arranged in one or more pages. A survey must have a minimum of two pages, one start page with at least one question, and one final page.

Questions: Questions are the means to obtain information about users through several types of questions:

Final Page: The Final Page is the page where users are informed that the survey has concluded. This page allows then all data to be stored in the database. A final page cannot have questions and if you use skip logic in your survey, then you can have one or more final pages according to your needs.

Skip Logic: Logic can be added in the survey to display certain pages to some users based on responses on previous questions. You can ask in a page, for example, if the user is male or female, and according to their answer, you redirect them to a different page of the survey.
